SC directs Mantri Developers to offer possession of apartment !

Updated: Oct 5

The builder's failure to deliver the flats to buyers who resorted to legal action due to persistent delays has put them in a difficult situation. The Supreme Court's recent interim order has shed light on the plight of these homebuyers, specifically targeting real estate developer Mantri Castles Private Ltd, also known as Mantri Developers, to hand over possession of the Mantri Serenity project in Bengaluru. Despite having paid a significant portion, if not the full amount, of the agreed price, the buyers are still waiting for possession. The court's directive emphasizes the importance of honoring the agreement and stresses the urgency of handing over the properties within a week.

This legal battle involving 48 homebuyers is being skillfully navigated by advocate Bishwajit Bhattacharyya, with guidance from advocate Chandrachur Bhattacharyya. The court's expectation for the possession to be granted before the upcoming hearing on February 14 adds pressure on the developer to comply promptly. The situation underscores the challenges faced by buyers in the real estate sector and the critical role of legal intervention in protecting their rights.
